Dr. Judy Fernando Graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 2000. She spent first 3 years of her medical including her intern year at Monash Medical Centre. She did her GP training in Melbourne and received her Fellowship in the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006.
She worked as a GP in Melbourne before she decided to move to sunny QLD. In 2009 She worked as a solo practitioner at Middlemount, a rural mining town where she was exposed to the challenges of industrial medicine. Since then she perused her career expansion in occupational medicine by gaining Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine. She is an Approved Health Practitioners (AHP) for Health assessment for rail safety workers and Nominated Medical Adviser (NMA) for Coal Board medicals.
Dr. Fernando became the director of Hamilton Medical Centre and Brisbane Industrial Health services in February 2015 after Dr. Greg Cunningham’s retired. She is a local resident and is married with 2 children.
Dr. Stephen Loo BSc( UQ ), MBBS( UQ ), FRACGP
Dr Stephen Loo received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2006, having received his Bachelor of Science from the same university in 2002. After spending years gaining extensive surgical experience in Orthopaedics, and also in Intensive Care and Emergency, he was awarded his Fellowship in the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016.
He has a broad range of interests among general practice which include Skin Cancer surgery, Sports Medicine, Child Health, Preventative Health, and Aesthetic Medicine. His expertise in muscular skeletal medicine can help you or companies immensely with assessment of muscular skeletal conditions which is most common injury across all occupations.
Dr. Sam Yang MBBS( QLD )- only see occupational medicine clients
Dr Sam Yang gained his Bachelor of medicine and Bachelor of surgery from University of Queensland.
He has 25 years’ experience in the provision of health assessments and occupational medical services with an indepth understanding of working within both government and private / corporate sectors.
He has extensive experience with undertaking statutory and specialised medical assessments including certifying QLD & NSW Coal board medicals (Nominated Medical Advisor ), Rail medicals, AMSA and Maritime medicals, Commercial Fitness to Drive assessments, Immigration & Visa/Offshore medicals, Fitness to Climb and HUET assessments.
Dr. Yang is able to provide extensive range of occupational medical services including pre-employment medicals, Health surveillance including periodic and exit screenings, suitable duties/work capacity assessments, executive health medicals, health surveillance, insurance medicals, fitness for duty and independent medicolegal assessments.
