Dr. Judy Fernando graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 2000. She spent her first 3 years of her medical Career including her intern year at Monash Medical Centre. She did her GP training in Melbourne and received her Fellowship in the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006.
She worked as a GP in Melbourne before she decided to move to sunny QLD. In 2009 she worked as a solo practitioner at Middlemount, a rural mining town where she was exposed to the challenges of rural and industrial medicine. Since then she perused her career expansion in occupational medicine by gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine. She is an Appointed Medical Advisor ( AMA ) formerly known as Nominated Medical Adviser (NMA) for QLD Coal Board medicals, an Approved Medical Practitioner ( AMP )for NSW Order 43 medicals and an Approved Health Practitioners (AHP) for Health assessment for rail safety workers.
She is a local resident and is married with 2 children.
Dr Celine: Gol MB BCh BAO, MRCGP , FRACGP, Postgraduate Diploma Allergy, Postgraduate Diploma Weight Management, Fellowship Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (FASLM)
Dr Celine Gol completed her medical training at the University of Galway, Ireland. She worked in Pathology for five years as a researcher and university lecturer, before completing GP training in the UK in 2013. In search of sunshine, she relocated with her family to Queensland in 2015.
Her other qualifications include a postgraduate Diploma in Allergy from the University of Southampton, UK and a postgraduate Diploma in Weight Management from the University of Chester, UK. She achieved Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine in 2018 and is working towards Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. She has a strong interest in the scientific evidence behind plant-based nutrition and its application for the improvement and maintenance of health.
Dr Kristen Driessen BSc, MBBS, (UQ) FRACGP
Dr Kristen Driessen is a friendly and caring GP dedicated to whole family care.
Kristen graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 and has been working as a GP in Brisbane and surrounds since gaining her fellowship in 2008.
Kristen is interested in the full spectrum of family medicine with special interests in child and adolescent health, women’s health and mental health.
Kristen has undertaken training to complete mental health care plans.
When not at work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and three small children, listening to music and going to the beach.
Dr Prabash Gardiyahewa: MBBS, FRACGP, Cert Occ Med, (DAME) Designated Aviation Medical Examiner
Dr Prabash has a vast experience in General practice. He brings with him a wealth of experience gained from working at various locations. He worked in Bundaberg until he gained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012. He worked in Childers and Bundaberg where he was exposed to challengers of rural and remote medicine.
Dr. Prabash is an Examiner of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners.
He comfortably covers all areas of general practice, and his main interests are in Men’s health, Skin cancer medicine , work cover, Injury management, Occupational medicine, and Aviation medicine.
Cathy Purcell: B Sc, Grad Dip Nut Diet, M Public Health Accredited Practising Dietitian
Cathy is a Dietitian with over 20 years of experience assisting people to achieve their nutrition and health goals. Her professional care is based on current evidence; benefits from extensive experience & invaluable feedback from her clients.
Cathy is an accredited Practising Dietitian who has been assisting clients in the local area. She has provided nutritional advice for the following conditions, however her expertise is not limited to these areas.
